Have you ever struggled to read a historical document or census entry? Then join Kathie for an introduction to early modern handwriting transcription. This workshop will provide you with an understanding of the different hands use in older handwriting, help you to decipher historical documents and provide tips and trick to assist your transcription. You will have the opportunity to practice what you are learning and have some fun!

Kathie Ross, PhD, has been working on her own genealogy for several decades. She has completed her post-graduate certificate in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies where she focused on palaeography skills. She is currently working on her diploma.
