Jacqueline shares her fifty-year journey researching Susan Allison, a prominent British Columbia pioneer. Beginning in 1972 while assisting Dr. Margaret Ormsby with "A Pioneer Gentlewoman in British Columbia" (UBC Press, 1976), Jacqueline‘s research has expanded through conversations with Allison‘s descendants, scholarly discussions, and extensive archival research.
Jacqueline Gresko is a teacher, researcher, and writer of British Columbia history. She is Faculty Emerita at Douglas College and a lecturer at St. Mark’s College at UBC.
